Fun, Affordable, and Accessible Quiz Bowl
The mission of Texas Challengers Quiz Tournaments (TCQT) is to increase Quiz Bowl participation in Texas and provide more affordable, accessible, and fun opportunities to compete at in person Quiz Bowl tournaments. Financial Assistance from QB4ALL (Quizbowl for All)
If you need help covering tournament registration fees, TCQT is proud to partner with QB4ALL (Quizbowl for All), a nonprofit offering financial assistance for academic competitions to eligible students. 2026-2027 Schedule
The plan is to have TCQT events in the Houston, Austin, Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Dallas/Fort Worth, Waco, Killeen/Temple, Bryan/College Station, Tyler, Beaumont/Port Arthur, and Wichita Falls areas during the 2026-2027 school year. Confirmed dates and locations for tournaments during the 2026-2027 school year are listed below. Dates and locations for additional tournaments will be added below as they are available. 1. August 29, 2026 - Episcopal High School (Bellaire - Houston area) - IS-248A for middle school and high school teams
2. September 12, 2026 - Tuloso-Midway High School (Corpus Christi) - MS-59 for middle school teams and IS-248A for high school teams
3. September 26, 2026 - Cinco Ranch High School (Katy - Houston area) - MS-59 for middle school teams and IS-250A for high school teams
4. September 26, 2026 - Cedar Creek Middle School (Cedar Creek - Austin area) - MS-59 for middle school teams and IS-248A for high school teams
5. October 3, 2026 - Veterans Memorial High School (Corpus Christi) - MS-60 for middle school teams and IS-250A for high school teams
6. October 10, 2026 - Austin area location to be determined - IS-250A for middle school and high school teams
7. October 10, 2026 - Lycée International de Houston (Houston) - IS-250A for middle school teams and IS-249 for high school teams
8. October 24, 2026 - Carnegie Vanguard High School (Houston) - MS-60 for middle school teams and IS-251 for high school teams
9. November 7, 2026 - Claughton Middle School (Spring ISD - Houston) - IS-252A for middle school and high school teams
10. November 7, 2026 - Lake Air Montessori School (Waco) - MS-59 for middle school teams and IS-248A for high school teams
11. November 14, 2026 - Poteet High School (Poteet - San Antonio area) - MS-59 for middle school teams and IS-248A for high school teams

31. May 1, 2027 - TCQT Strake Jesuit Housewrite Pre-Nationals Invitational - Strake Jesuit College Preparatory (Houston) - Non-NAQT questions for middle school and high school teams
