Fun, Affordable, and Accessible Quiz Bowl
The mission of Texas Challengers Quiz Tournaments (TCQT) is to increase Quiz Bowl participation in Texas and provide more affordable, accessible, and fun opportunities to compete at in person Quiz Bowl tournaments. Financial Assistance from QB4ALL (Quizbowl for All)
If you need help covering tournament registration fees, TCQT is proud to partner with QB4ALL (Quizbowl for All), a nonprofit offering financial assistance for academic competitions to eligible students. 2026-2027 Schedule
The plan is to have TCQT events in the Houston, Austin, Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Dallas/Fort Worth, Waco, Killeen/Temple, Bryan/College Station, Tyler, and Beaumont/Port Arthur areas, as well as potentially a couple of rural locations, during the 2026-2027 school year. Confirmed dates and locations for tournaments during the 2026-2027 school year are listed below. Dates and locations for additional tournaments will be added below as they are available. 5. October 10, 2026 - Belton High School (Belton - Killeen/Temple area)
6. October 10, 2026 - Lycée International de Houston (Houston)
7. October 24, 2026 - Carnegie Vanguard High School (Houston)
8. November 7, 2026 - Spring ISD campus to be determined (Houston area)
9. November 14, 2026 - Poteet High School (Poteet - San Antonio area)
10. November 14, 2026 - Gorzycki Middle School (Austin)
11. December 5, 2026 - London High School (Corpus Christi)
12. December 5, 2026 - R. L. Paschal High School (Fort Worth)
13. December 5, 2026 - Austin area location to be determined
14. December 5, 2026 - Houston area location to be determined - History Bee and Bowl regional

27. April 24, 2027 - TCQT SPC Invitational - Episcopal High School (Bellaire - Houston area) - Only open to schools that are members of the Southwest Preparatory Conference (SPC)
